Who is responsible
Cloudyorchardscandi Publishing Ltd is responsible for personal information it processes in operating this website and handling correspondence. Our registered office is 18 Queen Square, Bristol BS1 4NH, United Kingdom; company no. 15184726. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions.
Reading the website
The website does not require an account. Its own page scripts do not load advertising, analytics, social widgets or third-party fonts. Serving a page necessarily involves technical information such as an IP address, requested URL, time of request and browser information. Hosting and security services may process access logs to deliver the site, diagnose faults and prevent abuse.
Where we process technical information for those purposes, our basis is our legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable publication. We do not sell personal information or use the local contact tool for profiling.
The local drafting tool
Names, email addresses and questions entered into the Contact tool are assembled in your browser. The tool does not submit them to us or save them in localStorage. A copy action places text on your device’s clipboard; a download creates a text file on your device. Your browser or device may have its own form recovery, clipboard or backup behaviour, which you control.
If you choose to email us, your email provider and ours process the message. We then receive the information you send, including your address and message content. Please do not send patient records, sensitive health information or confidential project material.
Correspondence and retention
We use correspondence to respond to questions, review corrections and maintain necessary records. Our usual basis is our legitimate interest in managing editorial enquiries; legal obligations may require some records to be retained. We keep information only for as long as necessary for the enquiry, relevant follow-up, security or a legal requirement, and delete or anonymise it when that need ends.
Service providers supporting hosting or email may process information on our behalf. Disclosure may also be necessary to comply with law or protect legal rights. Where a restricted international transfer occurs, applicable UK data protection safeguards are required.
Browser storage and external links
A storage preference can be saved if you use the controls on the Cookies page. It contains a preference value, not your draft or email address. External references open other organisations’ websites, which have their own privacy practices. Linking to a reference does not transfer your contact draft.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law and relevant exceptions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to verify a request.
Contact us first if you wish, but you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.
